To Enter: There are two (2) methods of entry:
Eligible RBC student clients holding Qualifying Products (as more particularly described below) in good standing with a current email address in our records will be automatically entered for a chance to win $3,000.00 CDN for contest 9 weekly draws conducted each week starting on August 1, 2010 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ending on September 30, 2010 at 11:59:59 p.m. EST (the "Contest Period")
NO-PURCHASE REQUIRED: To enter without being an RBC student client, hand-print your name, address, city, province or territory, postal code, day and evening telephone numbers, the Contest Week during the Contest Period for which you want your no purchase entry entered in, and a unique and original 50-100 word or more handwritten essay on "How $3000 would make your student life better", and mail-in a postage stamped envelope to: "RBC Easy $3000" Contest, 15 Densley Ave, Toronto, ON M6M 2P5. Limit of one (1) unique, mail-in, entry per person per Contest Week during the Contest Period. No purchase entries must be postmarked and received by the last day of the week prior to the Contest Week for which you want your no purchase entry entered. No mechanical reproductions permitted. To be eligible, all No Purchase entrants must be students and will be asked to provide proof of student status if selected as a winner. All entries become the property of the the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.
Draws: A draw will be held each Contest Week for the prizes awarded for each week of the Contest Period. Draws will take place at 4:00 pm EST every Tuesday starting August 3, 2010. One potential winner will be drawn at random on each Tuesday of the Contest Week from among all students holding qualifying products in good standing with a current email address in our records, and no purchase entry students designating the applicable Contest Week as the week for which entry should be entered (“Selected Entrants”). Maximum of one (1) prize per person for the Contest Period.

Eligibility: Only one prize will be awarded per person. To be eligible to win a prize, an entrant must a) be a Canadian resident; b) a student holding qualifying products in good standing with a current email address in our records or a student who has submitted a No Purchase entry c) have reached the age of 17 or over during the contest period d) not be an employee of, or living with an employee of, the Sponsor or its subsidiaries or affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies, or the independent contest judging organization. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
Qualifying Products and Accounts.
For this Contest Qualifying Products are:
A “Qualifying Bank Account” which means and is strictly limited to: the RBC No Limit Banking for Students® account and the RBC Student Banking® account, offered by RBC to its personal clients
A “Qualifying Visa* Account” which means and is strictly limited to: the RBC Royal Bank® Visa Classic II Student card and the RBC Royal Bank Visa Classic Student card.
A “Qualifying Line of Credit” which means and is strictly limited to: the Royal Credit Line for Students®.
Any type of Qualifying Bank Account, or Qualifying Visa Account or Qualifying Line of Credit which a current RBC Royal Bank client holds, must be in good standing with a valid email address as of the relevant Contest draw date to receive a prize or the prize will be forfeited.
Prizes: There will be nine (9) Prizes available to be won, each consisting of $3,000.00 CDN. One prize will be available to be awarded for each Contest Week of the Contest Period. For clients with an email address with a qualifying Visa card or qualifying line of credit, each prize will be awarded as a cheque in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000) CDN. For clients with an email address with a qualifying student banking account, each prize will be automatically deposited to that account.
Odds: The odds of winning a prize for each Contest Week depends on the total number of student clients holding Qualifying Products in good standing with a current email address in our records and the number of eligible no purchase entries received and entered for each Contest Week.
Winner Notification/Prize Awards: Before being declared an official winner, each selected eligible entrant will be contacted by email and telephone by the independent contest judging organization as listed in the records of the Sponsor or as provided on the no purchase entry submission. Potential winners must correctly answer unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question to be posed by telephone at the telephone number provided on the entry, at a mutually convenient time. If a selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill-testing question or cannot be contacted within three (3) business days of the draw date, the entry will be disqualified and another eligible entry will be randomly selected until all prizes have been awarded.
Each potential winner will be required to sign a standard Declaration of Compliance with Rules, Publicity and Liability Release form and consent in the form and manner provided, consenting to the use of their name, city or province/territory and/or photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor and/or its affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies relating to this contest, including posting to a website and releasing the Sponsor, the contest organizer and independent contest organization, its promotional agencies and each of the other prize sponsors and their respective, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents, from any liability relating to this contest or any prizes.
If a potential winner fails to sign and return the required documents within seventy two (72) hours of receiving it by fax or email and/or within ten (10) days if by mail, the Sponsor reserves the right to void that entry and select another eligible entrant until the prizes are awarded. Prizes must be accepted by the winners as awarded, are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. If not accepted as awarded, prize will be forfeited. Any substitution will be at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Any taxes, fees or incidental charges applicable to any prize(s) shall be the sole responsibility of the winners of that prize.
Additional Terms: By participating, entrants agree to a) these Official Contest Rules and the records of the Sponsor which shall be deemed final and conclusive in all respects; and b) release, discharge, indemnify and hold RBC, each of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, and employees, including its promotional agencies, from any liability, claims, damages, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever which they, their heirs, successors, assigns, executors, or administrators may now or hereafter have directly or indirectly against them or any of them in respect of or relating to the Contest and/or the acceptance or use, misuse, or possession of any prize. By accepting a prize, winners agree to the Sponsor's and its designees' use of their names, city, province or territory of residence and/or photograph for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation.
Limitation of Liability: The Sponsor shall not be responsible for print or typographical errors in any Contest-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or postage-due non-purchase entries; or qualified bank accounts that are posted late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction. The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, to cancel or modify the Contest without individual notice if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the Contest as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Privacy Policy: If you entered this Contest by submitting a no purchase entry, you permit the Sponsor, its promotional agencies, contest administrator, and the independent contest judging organization and/or representatives to collect the information submitted with your entry and to use it to administer the Contest. You also permit us to use and share this information with other RBC companies to promote to you products and services that may be of interest to you, unless prohibited by law. We and RBC companies may communicate with you through various channels, including telephone, computer or mail, using the contact information you have provided. You acknowledge that as a result of such sharing they may advise us of those products or services provided. We will respect your preferences otherwise recorded with us. For Québec Residents Only: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
